Requirements & Procedures
Apply for international admission if you will soon graduate from non-U.S. high school.:
- Apply and Submit an application at Apply Texas.
- Submit official high school transcript(s).
– Must be certified by a school official, contain the school seal, and be delivered in a sealed envelope to the Office of Admissions
- Submit score(s) for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL**) (Code: 6838) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
– The minimum score for ibt TOEFL: 69
– The minimum score for IELTS: 5.5
- Submit ACT (Code: 4215) and/or SAT (Code: 0359) scores.
– A minimum score of 900 SAT (Combined Critical Reading and Math scores).
– A minimum score of 19 ACT Composite.
- Financial Documents – only for students requesting an I-20.
– Completed Financial Statement form.
– Bank Affidavit***.
- International students transferring to TAMIU from another institution in the U.S. must submit:
– Foreign Student Advisor’s Report form.
– Copy of current I-20.
– Copy of current Visa and I-94.
– International students are required to obtain a student health insurance plan approved by the Texas A&M University System.
– Submit all sections of attempted placement exams (TSI).
– Schedule appointment with Office of Recruitment & School Relations to register for classes.

***Must be dated within six months of first semester of enrollment.
